Product Description |
| Laura Hunter and Jennifer Walker are on-call pediatric nurses and mothers. While answering parents' questions, they realized new parents lack the basic information needed to care for their infants. Moms and dads no longer have the advantage of grandma living next door to share her years of wisdom. They're on their own--and they need help. This simple guide addresses real-life, basic infant care needs for new moms and dads. Topics range from feedings and bedtime routines to common medical questions. The included instructional DVD gives parents visual step-by-step demonstrations of how to care for a newborn to six-month-old. |

This Book Should be Mandatory for All New Parents!
|
| Review Date: June 8, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Windy H., Atlanta, Ga United States |
I cannot tell you the positive impact this book has had on raising our son. My friends and family can't believe how well my son has slept using the schedule in this book. Before reading this book, my son did not sleep at night at ALL! After THREE DAYS he began sleeping 4-5 hours and he has been sleeping through the entire night since he was 8 weeks old. This book should be the definitive guide on how to get your baby to sleep through the night.
Don't believe the negative review of this book stating that you have to let your baby cry it out. That is not what this book is about! It tells you in great detail how to put your baby on a schedule that will make him sleep better and be happier! Babies thrive on a routine and look to us as parents to provide one. |
The secret to getting your baby to sleep!

| If you buy one how-to baby book, this should be it! This book lays out a fail-proof routine for getting your baby to sleep through the night. Our son is 18 months old now and has slept at least twelve hours through the night EVERY NIGHT since eight weeks. The Moms on Call have a realistic, practical approach to everything from clipping fingernails to a "typical" schedule for your newborn to reassuring you that it is normal for your baby to cry - and even healthy. This book (and Jennifer and Laura) are a true lifesaver for any mom - and especially a first-time, type A mom! |
The best book on infant care!

| I can not say enough positive things about The Moms on Call. Thanks to their technique, my son has slept through the night since he was 7 weeks old and at 2 1/2 remains a consistently good sleeper. The book is simple, clearly laid out and easy to follow. It helps to take much of the fear out of first time parenting. I am thrilled that moms across the country now have access to this incredible resource. |
so far so good!

| We had Laura come to the house and she was great! If you follow her strategy your child will be sleeping through the night sooner rather than later. It might be hard to listen to your child cry for a few minutes but her techniques are much better than anything else we tried. I implore you to follow the book from the time your child is an infant. We didn't find out about Moms on Call until our oldest was 9 months old. What a difference it makes starting early! |

I want to thank you so much for writing this book. Since reading and implementing the suggestions my house is a different
place. I went from a child who screamed all the time to a very happy 2 month old. I now have time throughout the day to interact with my two and half year old and time to play with the baby. It is amazing how well your methods to get a child asleep works. I cannot believe the difference. I have been telling all of my friends about the book.
This is great book for new moms and second time moms. |
